The journal Plant Sociology, edited by the Italian Society of Vegetation Science, is now inviting submissions for the Topical Collection: “Advances in Vegetation Analysis through Remote Sensing Technology“. Maria Adamo and Gianmarco Tavilla edit this permanent collection along with colleagues from the University of Bari (Italy), Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil), Slovak University of Technology Bratislava (Slovakia), and the University of Texas at El Paso (USA).

The Topical Collection aims to gather cutting-edge research that leverages remote sensing technology for vegetation ecology. We welcome contributions that focus on recent methods for vegetation classification, habitat mapping, and advancements in phytosociology through remote sensing techniques. Additionally, studies that utilize both satellite and UAV imagery to develop innovative methods and applications in vegetation analysis are highly encouraged. Through this collection of papers, we aim to highlight the latest advancements in remote sensing technology and its transformative impact on the study and management of vegetation.
