The CNR – Institute of Atmospheric Pollution Research (CNR-IIA) has taken part to the ninth meeting of the Partnership Advisory Group, which has been held on Sunday 18 November 2018 at the International Conference Centre in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Partnership Advisory Group, established by the United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment), operates in the framework of the Global Mercury Partnership to encourage the activities of its eight partnership areas, including that on “Mercury air transport and fate research” coordinated by the CNR – Institute of Atmospheric Pollution Research (CNR-IIA) and the Biodiversity Research Institute (BRI, USA).
The overall goal of the UN Environment Global Mercury Partnership is to protect human health and the global environment from the release of mercury and its compounds by minimizing and, where feasible, ultimately eliminating global, anthropogenic mercury releases to air, water and land.
